2 days ago my now 20 month old pea was finely getting my pied hens attention and he has attempeted to breed her, then i saw her going to him this morning and squatting and he mounted but his adept was foiled by my younger Pea "Master" but the hen is still going to him when he fans.
The thing is he is dropping his tail feathers but still has about half left, SO will he still be fertile at this point or do i just have to wait and see?

Thanks i have my fingers crossed

, i have my name on 2 different list for pied chicks but have heard absolutely nothing from either one so i do hope she lays fertile eggs so i may have a couple babies (hopefully pieds) then i won't be looking any more and wondering if i am getting anything.

Your peacocks are in moulting season and are dropping the train feathers, this means their testies get smaller.
March to May are months when peacocks"s testies are at biggest size.
May to March are main moulting season, making 10 months of moulting all feathers, this leave 2 months for breeding.
Clinton.
