How much does anyone think a trans-gender hen would sell for? would it sell at all? It use to be a hen that laid and now its shot up a big comb and crows and stopped laying

Well, seeing as they don't exist, I'd say theres not a big market for em right now.

I don’t see a point in buying one. She won’t lay eggs OR be able to fertilize eggs. I wouldn’t buy one, but I can’t speak for everyone.

They do exist. They are just hens who have a damaged ovary. This is where the saying “just because you haven’t seen it, doesn’t mean it isn’t there” comes in. It’s definitely a rare occurrence, though.

Even a hen without a hurt ovary can crow. I would say the most shocking thing is that they can grow male specific feathers. It’s caused by an imbalance of hormones.

Put her in the pot or keep her as an amusing pet.. she has no true value on the open market.

I've had hens crow and yes spontaneous gender transformation can occur, since it's all about the hormones. Fact is often stranger than fiction and more interesting too!

It's fairly pathetic but with the same voice they sing.. even roosters join in on the egg song at times!
