I've been feeding & watering my birds (chickens, ducks & geese) in their coops where I can keep the heated water buckets plugged in & food dry for 8 months - since hatching. The birds are accustomed to going in at sunset for food. Now that it's not subzero at night, I want the little slobs to eat & drink outside. If I move the food outside, will they still go in at night? Is the security of the coop enough to lure them in? TIA

I have 5 silkies 9 weeks old. Currently I have water & food inside their coop as well as water and food outside their coop...they don't seem to know how to use the ramp yet. My question is what do you recommend as they get older and are outside more during the day.
Do you put food and water outside during the day for them?
Should you just have food and water in the coop for them? They can come and go as they please.
