Is anyone familiar with "transitional" feeds? My mill offers them as an alternative to the more expensive Certified Organic feed. They are the same mixes, just from farms that have not yet been certified organic, but are within the required time frame to become Certified Organic. I've been using the transitional for the last 6 months and have been very satisfied with the results in my chickens, and can still sell them as "organically fed", just not "Certified Organic".

    Any thoughts?

Which mill do you use? I am in MN too![IMG] I am about to place another order and have gotten the organic cert. before but it is hard not to go the transitional route when it is a significant amount cheaper... decisions, decisions.
