Thanks! She seems to be doing fine, eating and pooping and acting normal. She has just always looked droopy, but also fluffier than any of the others, so maybe it's just her shape.Glad she's coped with her funky crop all this time!
Very pretty bird.

I’m sorry to hear about Prissy! Losing them is always hard. I hope you don’t have any more attacks.LOL!!!!!!!!! Awww....but she is so cute!!!
Our hen in the photo was Prissy. She was the head honcho of the flock, and a large, fluffy Buff Orpington one of the original 4 we got. The photos were taken a couple years ago. Prissy got attacked by something in broad daylight while they were in the yard around that time. My husband found her in the wooded area not far from the side of the house. Probably a fox. He wouldn't let me see her. She was mauled... She is the only one we have lost to a predator, thankfully. It was just gut-wrenching and we both cried. I have some other great photos of her and some great memories.
That's why we love our chickens; They have so much personality. We have 3 of the original 4 Buffs and 2 more Buffs that we got as chicks about a year after the original 4. We then got 2 more buff chicks but one was sickly when it arrived and died a few weeks later. The hatchery refunded the money, but it wasn't about that. I frantically researched and nursed her day and night for a week but she just didn't make it. She was a very pale color when she arrived. The other one was fine, so that made 6 hens, all Buff Orps. Last April we decided to get 2 more chicks, Speckled Sussex this time. Now we have our max of 8 hens. Every one of them is a different personality. We have dog frontpacks. All of our hens love to sit in them on our chests and we take them to TS, or antique shops!!! Everyone loves them and they are always good as gold! I notice hens can be jealous of other chickens, especially when treat are involved, lol! We love your coop and hens! Thanks! She seems to be doing fine, eating and pooping and acting normal. Mine's name is Zlatka (which means "Goldie"), and she's my favorite, though ours is a complicated relationshipShe sort of imprinted on me as a chick, even though she lived in the brooder with her hatch-mates. She would come out from under the heater to look for me, get cold and cry, and come right back out when I stuffed her in, to look for me again and sit in my hand
She was extremely cuddly growing up, and loved sleeping in my lap. Now recently she's had some jealousy issues, where she won't let me hold any of the other chickens. I had a whole thread about it. She attacks the other chicken and then me if I try to block the attacks. I'm making some progress training her to back down when I say NO and point a finger at her beak. For a while I'd "peck" her head with my finger and say NO when she attacked, and now little by little she's learning to back off at the NO and pointed finger without actually getting "pecked". I think she associates the finger-to-beak with the beak-to-beak challenge situation chickens do (and that was my point), and is finally backing off without having to get "pecked". It's weird though, because she doesn't necessarily want to sit in my lap anymore. She just doesn't want anybody else to either

Whoa! I've never seen that before! What calm and patient chickens you have! I'm a little jealousThat's why we love our chickens; They have so much personality. Beautiful fluffy girl
It's actually a dog carrier. We have 2. We had 2 little yorkies at one time. All of our hens are very good in the pouch. We put a chicken diaper on, pop one in and go. People stop and take photos all the time. I think they feel cozy and secure in there. Never had a problem! Lol, actually had them nod off in the car!Whoa! I've never seen that before! What calm and patient chickens you have! I'm a little jealousYou must be quite the sight at TS!
