Transporting Birds to Processor

We're taking our meaties and unruly roos to the processor on Tuesday. This will probably be a VERY dumb questions, but if I transport them in cardboard boxes will I need to poke any holes in them for ventilation? I just want to make sure they make it to the porcessor alive.

I would probably poke a few holes to be on the safe side.

I would definately poke holes in the box, some down low and a few in the middle on opposite sides of the box. We also added straw to the floor hoping to have less poo mess and keep them from sliding and possibly breaking a leg. Good luck!
