Because of where I live, I have had to trap many different types of animals. I found a site where the trapers are very helpful and in some cases will come out and show you how to do it. It also has links to sites that sells the equipment you will need. The site is trapperman.com This was the only place I was able to get any information after my first encounter with a bear in the chicken yard.

Hope you and your chickens are OK.
Has it been trapped and relocated?

The last one to get in, got 35 chickens. The silkie hen which my grand daughter had intered in the fair, must have been the hardest to get. Parts of her was all over. Yes, he has been relocated, the state trapper missed him, but Smith and Wesson didn't. This was a wounded bear and a danger to humans as well as livestock. He got a goat, turkeys, and a munber of cats and dogs. One of the city folk thought they was Daniel Boone and crippled him. I hold no bones to shooting any animal after livestock, but da23 it kill it don't cripple it. Anyway God needs to figure out a way to stop him from killing chickens now.
