does it seem to overly stress them mess with their egg laying or cause anymoult issues. I'd love to take my babies with me but not at the expense of their long term health and longgetivity. I'm not that selfish eggs are too cheap and face it if it was only about the eggs most of us wouldn't be doing it anyway. I find them fun and relaxing to watch and interact with. anywhere cool to be would be cooler with my birdies.
If your purpose is to just travel with them as "buddies", I would say leave them home. It does mess with them some. They are creatures of habit. Changing scenery is not easy on them. When I take them to shows the hens seldom lay with the moves.
After they have been shown a few times they are faster recovering from the move. If you want a traveling "buddy" I suggest a dog.
Also traveling with birds for the sake of traveling is a good way to pick up a disease that will kill your birds or spreading a disease that will kill someone else's birds.
