Has anyone traveled by plane with a chicken? I know that sounds a little crazy, but I have a pet serama rooster that I raised from a chick, and he's basically like a pet parrot or a puppy -- he's a house pet, and we're very bonded. I may have to go abroad for a couple of months for work next year and would leave him with family, but I'm just trying to figure out the best way of transporting him (domestic flight only). I know that there are special travel restrictions for poultry, like that you can't ship adults, for example, and I was wondering if anyone knows how this might be done. Has anyone flown with their chicken(s) to bird shows for example? There has to be some way other than driving...right?
