Hello,
We have 9 hens and 1 rooster. Our roo, Elvis, has been aggressive with the hens - mounting them. I understand this is pretty normal behavior for a young rooster.
Yesterday one of our hens had a 2" diameter bald spot near her vent and also on her neck area. The hen lets me pick her up and seems to be eating/drinking - but prefers to stay in the coop. Normally she is out free ranging with the other girls.
There seems to be a raised bump area on her hind end that isn't normal - wondering about giving her antibiotics and how much to give. Both hen and rooster are about 11 months old.
Any advice?
Thank you!!
Pam
