I like to give my chickens treats on a daily basis and I was wondering how I should give it to them. Right now they are to "scared" to eat treats out of my hand so I have to put it somewhere in the coop/run. I have been putting the treats right on the shavings most of the times, but I have also tried giving it to them on an old frisbee, but they just kick shavings into the frisbee when eating the treats.

Do the chickens really care about how/where I give them treats? If so what should I do?

How old are your chickens and what are you feeding them for treats?

They are about five months old (received two eggs and a yolk so far) and I feed them watermelon, grapes, berries, scratch, mealworms, scrambled eggs, and bananas.
