Treating angel wing if it's 90+ degrees

If wing feathers are growing in wrapping can pretty much take care of it. A lot of members can vouch for that. She could have cool water to stand in to stay cool while wrapped but of course swimming would be a no no.

Usually angel wing is due to too much protein in young (< 6 wks old) ducklings. It does need to be wrapped correctly ASAP as it will not correct on its own. It’d this is a duck that can fly, not treating angel wing quickly will make it defenseless from predators. Don’t allow it to get in the water while treating. The temp outside should not matter. U do need to limit their activity. I bring mine in the house in a plastic bin w/ wire top. You only need to keep the wrap on for about 3 days or so if you catch it early enough. Left untreated for too long, it will not correct itself. I would strongly suggest you take it to a wildlife rehabbed who can wrap it correctly. It is not an easy thing to do- especially if you are trying to do it yourself.
