Treating chickens w/Tylan 50. Need more suggestions!!!!

breast is the best
lay chicken on back head facing away from you (you will need help)
so you are inoculating into the chickens' left breast
find the breast bone
go down a few inches use alcohol with cotton ball and moisten the area about 2 inches down and 1 inch over (oh wait how old is the chicken??)
You should see a real fleshy area and feels like a chicken breast. You want to inject there, into the breast not just skin

I want to say no it does not cover other worms, wazzine is good for that. also as a home remedy for internal worms is cyanne pepper..
You can get sulmet through your feed store, like tractor supple or try agway.

eye worm is different from other worms, The vet rx can help that, you warm up teh bottle and use a q-tip, drop some vert rx on teh q-tip and push gently into the top of the mouth and should see the foam actaully comeing out the eye , you wipe that away give the bird a break and repaet till the foam is all gone.

I do have some Wazzine and I will look into get the Sulmet. Do you know what the dosage is for Wazzine?

The thing that I do is give them duramycin in the water. I go out twice a day and fill a syringe (no needle) with the water and put it down their throat - forced drinking. When they get sick they don't hydrate enough and I find it makes them sicker an the mortality rates go way up. I have saved almost all of my birds this way.
