I suspect coccidiosis. If I treat and it's not the problem with the Corid hurt?
I am waiting on necropsy results.

x2 - by the time you see bloody poop and start treatment, it's usually in an advanced stage. I try to avoid medicating unnecessarily, but with suspected coccidiosis, I figure "better safe than sorry".Nope,I did the same thing that you said![]()
Coccidiosis poop doesn't always have blood.I have 3 Ameraucaunas (20-26 weeks), that have suddenly lost weight and died. They have loose poop. No blood in poop.
How much does he weigh and how much wormer did you give?On Monday after one of the died, I gave each one a dose of Safeguard thinking it could be worms. But cocci is a possiblity. Now with the Cockerel looking like death, I decided to collect a fecal sample and take to the vet.
The Cockerel is by himself isolated so I collected his poop from the cage. It had live worms. It has been about 36 hours since the Safeguard dose. How long does it take to work?
I will have results from the vet tomorrow.
