She wouldn't eat the egg, I tried a banana and she wouldnt eat that either. She hasn't eaten anything in 24 hours now, but she has drank a good bit of electrolyte water. She has only changed position 3 times today and that was only a few steps to find another spot to lay in. I cant get the Corrid until tomorrow, will that be too late? I'm so worried about her and I've tried so much, but I fear she is dying.

Definitely recommend the vitamins but not the apple cider vinegar. There’s been studies done that have found there’s no proof it has any benefits. It really only makes the water taste bad.

If this is a reproductive problem, which I believe it is, she's basically going to starve herself because her egg laying years are over. There is nothing really that can be done for that outside of having her put out of her misery, I'm sorry to say. Is there a vet near you that could possibly see her?

She is only 9 months old, she just started laying.

Oops, I'm such a dummy. I think I got you mixed up with someone else....I've been talking to a lot of people on here. I am SOOOO sorry. Someone else I was talking to on here had a five-six year old hen doing poorly and I was figuring reproductive problems. Well, I sure am stupid. Yes, try to get the Corid as soon as possible.

I would get the Corid today if possible, and give some undiluted orally before adding it to the water—about 3-4 drops, and repeat in the morning. Has she ever eaten eggs before? Can you try giving some cottage cheese or plain yogurt, or the buttermilk?

@Eggcessive @RhodeIslandRed5 thank you both so much! I've given her one dose of 4 drops directly this morning, she is still alert and looking around, I also got her to drink electrolyte water. I would like to keep giving her the corid directly so I know that she is getting it and since I already have electrolytes in the water I don't want to add even more stuff. Do I treat her with the cord three times a day? Also attaching a pic of her poop

The Corid should be given in the water for the right dosage. The drench is only to jump start the treatment. Do your electrolytes also contain vitamins, especially thiamine? Thiamine is not to be given during treatment with Corid. Corid works by mimicking thiamine or B 1 to starve the coccidia organism.
