I caught him jumping out of the pond no change still hanging, has just a little poop on the tip still but as I said looks good and pink. He's happy other than being sexually frustrated.

Can you catch him and clean off the tip? I say this because I think the tip looks like it could be infected.

Has anybody else had this like this before? I've only read that they dry up get infected or have to be cut off. I'm confused as to what to do. I can't keep it in it keeps falling out every time he poops.

I would have to agree with @casportpony , looks like the tip may have just started to go.

I wonder why its more common in call ducks. I always worried about it, i had one drake that took a few minutes to retract but thankfully it always did.
