I am curious when can you start giving treats (i.e veggies, fruits, etc) to baby chicks? How old should they be?

I don't treat until they are at least 4 weeks old. Usually I start by mixing my hommade yogurt with some of the starter feed.

When mine were chicks I gave them meal worms. If you plan on keeping them as non-meat birds and want them to be hand tame this is a good way to do it [IMG] The would run right up to me to ge the wriggling worm from my fingers!

They're so little you want them to eat all good stuff, and I also let them eat bugs and stuff from around 3 or 4 weeks..... mine got grasshoppers! [IMG]
