Is it OK to feed bobs pet bird seed? Like the walmart brand?

If you do feed it, give it ONLY to adults. Remember, if you are feeding them seeds, they MUST have grit, also.

Again, chicks ONLY get starter feed. The best way to tame your coturnix chicks is to just put your hands in their cages a lot. So long as they see you around a lot, they will tame down. They may go through a phase where they spook easily. However, if you keep hanging around their cages and putting your hands in for things, then they will calm back down later.

So should I just feed them starter feed from my hand to tame bobs? How old until they get treats?
