I recently gave my flock of chicks a finely chopped boiled egg with no interest, so I tried mealworms, which was not tempting at all. I think I cracked it with a slice of watermelon this afternoon, though! Multichick pile up for it. I have a dish of chick grit I replenish daily for them.

I dont give chicks treats until they're almost at point of lay. I give them to them from my hand and start training them then and it has worked fine for me. Egg yolk and wet feed are the only treats they get before then.

I heard wet food is a good way to train them to ear from your hand. How long do you soak food? I also heard don’t save it it could get moldy?

5 minutes, just until it gets like oatmeal textured. I won't put it in my hands though, it goes in a bowl like any other food

I jist stir warm water into it until it is the consistency of oatmeal
