Treats for Chicks?

I have new chicks and am wanting advice and opinion as to how old do they need to be before I can give them supplemental treats with their food?

Most people wait until they can have grit (which I start at 2 weeks) but I'll give them soft treats like grapes and watermelon after they're a week old.
