Treats ideas??

Most fresh fruits and vegetables are great treats! Just make sure the ones you choose are safe for poultry, and feed in limited quantities. My chickens love watermelon, corn on the cob, squash, etc. Also, grubs and worms are great treats, either live or freeze-dried. I give my chooks freeze-dried black soldier fly larvae and occasionally live superworms / mealworms. They also get tiny quantities of birdseed when they "go home" to their coop in the evening.

I have never tried freezing food in ice trays. It would probably be fine, though I would be concerned about them getting large chunks stuck in their throats. It might also be a bit messy. :idunno

They love watermelon in the summer. And they love to help me look for worms. I have them in the garden with me and a small garden shovel and we dig holes in the dirt and they all stan around help and grab any worms or grubs they see. Even my rooster joins in, it makes him happy and keeps him from jumping haha.

I used to dig for worms and grubs for my chickens as well! The yard has since dried up for the most part, so I never find any anymore.
