I give my babes the Walmart brand of Ramen Noodles. I crush them up add the water and flavoring and VIOLA! They're only $0.10 each and the babes just love'em! Just wondering what everyone else gives. I also just tried a very ripe banana a moment ago... no takers accept for Buffy, my lil'girlfriend.

I would be careful with the ramen. You can do the noddles but that flavoring packet is high in sodium and sodium isn't good for chickens. Well... I guess too much sodium isn't even good for mammals.

Oh yeah mine love the noodles, but I don't put alot of the flavoring in their cause of the salt content is high. I've given mine those curly veggy noodles they love those.
It's so funny to watch them running around with noodles hanging from their beaks.

I only put one pack of the flavoring in, not that it matters much, I end up putting alot of water in them, along with whatever goodies I have left from the supper table.

I agree, they don't need the extra sodium in the flavoring.

They love spaghetti, so you don't really need to mix the flavoring in. Save it and use it the next time you cook hamburgers or meatloaf.

Someone told me when she was little, they gave their chickens cottage cheese.
My husband grated about 15 giant zucchinis for me to bake bread. After 25 loaves I decided to see if the chickens liked it. You, know, as a treat.

I mixed it with oatmeal & another time with rice & they loved it.
It seems like they prefer things wet more then dry.
