[chicken nanny]

I have some RIR that are a 30-31 days old they are outside in the coop running around the ran eatting grass and bugs and what ever else they can find so they are happy little chickens.

Ok my question is it to soon to give a little bit of scratch grain to. I mean a cup every few days just to give them something to look for.


I have them on the start and grow now

I have 27 chicks all 30 -31 days old

Welcome to BYC!

You can give them a little scratch but it really ups their metabolism and makes them warm so only a little in the summer.

They'll love you in the winter if you give it to them.

Even in the summer here, I mix a tiny bit into my layer pellets just to keep them interested.
