Tree Chick is wild, so I don't try and catch her, but she is getting less and less afraid of me, and knows what me walking to the barn means, so she comes closer now, and Cotton is a love bug.
when I was at work she somehow escaped from her cage and one of the dogs took her out. my mom said her head was missing. I hope she had a quick death. I cried for over 2 hours. I buried her and took ST. john and put him over her grave and my mom BR roo who passed with an unknown cause. He is now protecting them in heaven
Its ok. She was the sweetest one I had. Just so adorable. I may hatch white silkies again cause to me they are sweeter then all the colors (dont know why) I will always miss my little fluffems lol
So, so you know about Silkies? I have no idea how old this one may be. she has laid a few eggs. But is she young and maybe she will get more of a poofy head, like she won't be able to see out her feathers/fluff? She is getting new ones on her head.
I really cant answer that question. my silkie roo is about a yeard and 5 months now. he dont have a big fro. Maybe at a later age but since she is a pet and not for show you can cut the feathers for her to see if she does get a really poofy fro
If they do get a really big fro, is it really necessary to cut so they can see? She is a pet. I'm not even sure if she is full silkie or a mix. Her wings have feathers a little, I haven't seen too many silkies. She's the first I ever had and never knew any one with one.
