Tree Chick in her tree

some say its not but to me its beneficial. if yours is smart like my old ones she will dip her beak in the waterer and flick the water on her head and shake. this will cause her fro to get spikey. I love how mine did it

Do you remember how long it took to get a full fro? I'm trying to see if I can figure out an age for Cotton. Its possible she is young

My other chickens that are now 6 years are 2 RIR's, 1 BR and 1 EE. The RIR's are laying but the EE hasn't laid a egg since her winter molt, so not sure if she will still start laying again or not. Tree chick is a game hen, a hatch, she has green legs. The BR hasn't laid an egg in over a year I think.

your EE should start laying soon I think. My sex links and BRs where not laying till a week ago. I am getting an eeg a day from 1 BR and 1 sex link. not sure why the others are slacking

What are the temps where you are? Here it is still frosty in am, 30's, but we have had a few 65's during the day, today cloudy starting again, but still got to 60 or maybe slightly higher. I do not get snow here and all the winter mud has already dried up in corral.

Its kind of the same here. yesterday it was around 60 and at night it dropped around 40. the ground is very muddy and I have to fence it off from the dogs and put down grass seed
