Tree has root rot and browning leaves, new leaf tips turning brown

This is an avocado tree. Gornw hydroponically. The roots are turning brown but it is hard to break some of the brown roots and the inner brown roots are tanish-white so its still alive but looks dead. Any ideas?

To observe the roots to make sure it dosent have root rot
