Tree? Not sure what it is, chickens eating orange fruit?

Anyone know what it is? I thought maybe some sort of tomato but can't find pics on Google with same leaves.
Tree just popped up randomly and grew fast in chicken yard, had purple flowers in Spring, then producing yellow to orange (fruit?) Chickens are eating fallen orange things hope that's ok? Ants are all over the tree eating most it though..

Took me a while but you pointed out the fruit does look like a nightshade so that helped. Ripe ones are edible.
