I'm not a big fan of Turken ( a.k.a. Naked Necks ) but then there are alot of people them simply adore them so -

To be honest I really don't care too much for the plain Tuxedo, even though I have one -

Anyways, I think I decided against ordering eggs, from her anyways. She seems really nice but if her birds aren't going to be the best Quaility then...

Funny because I like Turkens, but I think Showgirls are the ugliest chickens alive. I know they are almost the same thing, I think it is the black skin that freaks me out!

A friend send me showgirl eggs as a Christmas gift. When I put guineas in a pen next to the chicken, the chicken screamed like girls... I have no clue what their reactions will be for showgirls ROFL

But 'tuxedo' pieds are not generally my favorite but I have a few pairs of each color. Since I pair breed, how you should be breeding, I strive for the best quality birds. I have learned a lot about buttons and not only do colony birds, or eggs from colony birds, do not last long, they produce weak genes. Even if you have high quality birds, by putting them in colony setting weakens their gene pool and their epigenes. That's why I have a tough time finding new blood..

HA HA! Talk to one of my male button quail. He sure tries to "bite." He just isn't very effective at it. He's an ATTACK quail extraordinaire! If my hand goes into the cage he's in attack mode. Heck, if he THINKS I'm getting near the cage he is in attack mode. He is protecting their nest. My hand will win, though. They are not hatching out any babies. Nope, nada. None.

I have a loose button...I put him in the cage...next day he is walking on the floor...I have seen him walking outside and when I start closing up, he hops right in...talk about buttons who train you...

Come train mine, please!!! I want that auto-return thing here, LOL. I was cleaning cages yesterday and had a couple of escapees. Thankfully, they were the easier ones to catch...not the little devils who hide under stuff.

quailladyoffortmyers I think I came across your website and debated ordering eggs but all your buttons are listed in mixed groups as well. I'd love some buttons who were separated by color in to different pens and sold that way so I could choose what I wanted and then keep some breeders in same color pairs to make more.
