Well today my girls seemed back to normal. Daisy has quit chasing Annie, and Annie isn't hiding in the garage. Their bites & bruising are healing.

I think its the same person too. Kathy, didn't see the other post, just the turkey one. It was disturbing. On second thought....maybe we should encourage them having a house turkey...can you imagine all the chaos!

I just re-did my turkey nest boxes. I got tired of them rubbing their tails when they turn around. They end up looking to tattered. So I lengthened them to accommodate the whole tail. Actually measured them both and added for turn around radius.

Feedman, my Bourbon became very chatty since she's laying. She's a talker! She's also my guard turkey. If you come into my yard & she doesn't know you, i hear about it in the house. And Daisy is very quiet. Lots of little trills & chirps. But when Annie gets going its amazing the sounds that come out of that hens beak!

Ahhh spring! Had the hose out back to wash down the chicken coop and both turkeys had to play in it. Why they both love that hose is beyond me. I decided to fill up "Poop Pond" and both girls immediately waded in. Now that they are soaked, I'm sure a dust bath is next on the agenda.

Boy my turkeys are living the life. I took off at noon to come home & groom dogs for a show this weekend. They grazed, they sunbathed, they dust bathed, they waded around in "Poop Pond" then repeated all. I worked on one dog for over three hours (poor girl) and was keeping an eye on them. Nothing but happy chirps. Yep, they had a quite enjoyable day. I should be so lucky as to spend a day like that!

Annie is laying regularly, nothing from Daisy yet. And geez, I can't walk through my yard with out chickens sqatting everywhere. Life in the convent is wearing on them...poor girls!
