My whole flock is on 18%. Plus free ranging all day. They seem fine. They get BOSS treats at bed time. I chose they easy way out & just buy it at the feed store.
Up in Missouri again. Hauled my baby Speckled Sussex with me. My turkey sitter is reporting she found Daisy sitting in the baby pen.

Anne, your making me miss my girls talking about turkey supervised breakfast. I'm in Ste. Genevieve again, attending the annual History Conference. Ok, may be a bit of a nerd...but one of the papers being presented is the results of an archeological dig on one of our historic houses. Exciting, huh?? Needless to say I'm missing my morning cup of coffee enjoyed in the company of my turkeys.
Rjohns....why are you mixing feed vs buying a bag? I may have missed your reason. I commend you. I'm too lazy to try & mix my own.

Last summer I had a broken arm. Was unloading groceries, with the one working arm. Had the backdoor propped open. All birds were in their yard. Wrapped up, headed back to my bedroom but kept hearing something. Upon investigation, found this sneak!!

LAPPERS: Enjoys being held. Wants attention.
TOLERANTS: Also wants attention but doesn't want to sit in your lap. But doesn't struggle if being held.
LURKERS: Always around but doesn't care to be touched.
BELLYBUTTONS: Jerks.

Uggg....early flight to Salt Lake City this morning. But at least I get to go home tomorrow. Was out of town this past weekend so I've only seen the girls Sunday before bed and a bit yesterday. Daisy is down to two tail feathers. New feathers coming in on top of her wings. Poor girl. Annie seems to be through the worst of her molt.

Got home from business trip last night. Poor Daisy now down to one tail feather. Let little chicks out to run around this morning. All chicken hens fled in disgust. Guess they will have turkey moms. Both girls are good with them.
