Speaking of guineas. They are still rogue. The owner bought a net, or two. I see guinea stalking in my future this weekend.

Had a scare yesterday afternoon. Girls were standing on the back porch. I was back in my bedroom & heard them screaming. I was changing out of work clothes but went running in an odd combo of clothing. I had never heard them scream so loudly or in quite that way. They were standing there looking upset, but they were fine. No sign of a predator. No idea what happened. Stood there a bit and didn't see anything. The porch is covered. Not big. Hawk maybe? Too early for an owl or coon. No clue. But scared the heck out of me!

Pink fuzzy saddles for cute pictures only! I just thought they'd be adorable.

We went guinea hunting again. They are hanging out at a neighbors house. She has chickens. No luck. We are getting more & more neighbors joining in the reindeer games. At least most of the neighbors now know they aren't my turkeys! It was raining so we had a strategy meeting mostly. One of the guys admitted he can't eat turkey anymore due to meeting Daisy. Geez...

Well...."damaging " storms on the way today. Oh boy...nothing more thrilling than damaging winds & tornadoes. However, if we survive, tomorrow is supposed to be nice.

Due to weather, we will have to delay guinea hunting till tomorrow. Did I mention they are becoming a neighborhood attraction? If my turkeys have accomplished anything, they have conditioned the neighbors to seeing odd birds wandering around. Yesterday, as neighbors were interrupting our hunt, the conversation would turn to my turkeys. Met a few folks who drive by, smile & wave & never stop. A few with kids who definitely want to bring them over to meet the girls. Its reassuring to realize folks generally enjoy seeing the turkeys. Although I'm referred to as the turkey lady. Better that than the cat lady....I guess.
