Wow Chaos....that's huge!! Have you picked out a model? This is going to be an exciting spring with all the babies in the works. I know Feisty and I are both scared of getting bators. I'm just not sure I would trust myself. I know I want to grow my tiny flock of two turkey hens to three turkey hens. (or maybe a tom) At this point in my life I feel better with a tiny flock I can manage. Mainly due to traveling for work.

Ralph...we are on the same page. Ran the calculator using a few different breeds with JJ, Ethel, Ginger & EJ (Ethel Jr.) Some extremely interesting combinations to be had!! You could add a whole other colorway to the flock!

NOTE: He still has his special running. Poults for $5.00 each, his choice. A surprise in every box! Sure is tempting! 15 bird minimum! What a good deal. Someone. ..please order this so I can live vicariously! !!! PLEEEEZE!

Feedman. ...I had heard about 3-4 years before significant decline. Was curious. Are hens like chicken hens with diminished egg laying at a certain age? Where are you in Missouri? My family is in St. Louis & I own a house in Ste. Genevieve. Heck....I may be the one taking a detour this spring!

If only Ralphie would have let me know he was coming through Memphis. I would have gladly taken Ginger off his hands.

Aurora. ...I have complete faith in you finding room in the bator!

Feedman. ..I have to travel for work thru January. After that, we need to talk turkey! I hate just having the two girls. Scared something could happen to one and I'd be left with one very upset turkey screaming her beak off. I'd probably end up like Turkey Parents with a bird perched on my headboard at night.

So here are the girls goofing off in my backyard. Right before Annie went bald! I'm trying to make up for all us picture posting slackers! :D

I'm pretty sure PRB (Poultry Related Blindness) is an affliction that also affects chickens. Specially since several of mine get afflicted by it periodically. If they would just run another two feet they could get through the gate.....but no they gotta stop and turn around and start freaking out.
"PBR" seems to affect my flock too.
Aurora, absolutely nothing better than crawling back into bed on a rainy morning! Totally jealous! :)
