Ok, Coffee, here's the deal. When Porter comes to your house he's going to be out of his element and lonely. You are going to get a lawn chair and just sit in his pen so he gets used to you. Then start hand feeding him treats. He will soon decide your his new best buddy & be a lapper before you know it. The key is lots of one on one time. Trust me....it worked for me, Aurora, Feisty and even the guy who took Porter. Your gonna love him!!
I love that JJ, as lead turkey, allows you to hold him in front of the guys! He's special!!

I have fake gourd eggs in my turkey nest but they kick them out & I think they play soccer with them. I don't know. They can be creatures of habit. I guess in her world those eggs need to be there. I have visions of her crossing her legs all day waiting for you to come home.

. I still think some our folks need them during hunting season. But good luck getting a bird to sit still for a fitting!
