Gevshiba...great way to feed raw. I feed a modified version. It seems I can't get it together enough to feed raw when traveling.

Keep me posted on your SS project. They are my favorites! Here is Big Betty.

Working from home today. Daisy is in her nest working on an egg. Annie is taking full advantage of an uninterrupted dust bath. She's so particular. Spends quite a bit of time arranging the dirt around herself. The rolls around like crazy. Then repeats the process. Happily chipping the whole time! All the chickens are waiting their turn. It will be a long wait. She's a dust bath hog!

Wow Feedman! You better rescue those poor Speckled Sussex! I've always considered Buff Orps the dumb blondes of the chicken world, although usually very friendly. The SS will look like geniuses in comparison. Yeah its odd, but Ralph, Gevshiba & I all love our SS. They are such cool chickens!

I can't believe he has Blue Palms. If they look good are you taking them too? Hope you have a big truck!

Ralph...those girls are hysterical! How are you going to pry them apart? Seriously. Or are you just leaving them. Do you know how many eggs are under them? I love the one in the nest box with that tail hanging out.

Fiesta is trying to figure out what to do with Coco. She apparently has a biter on her hands. You guys got any suggestions? Heavy gloves?

And poor Aurora has most of her girls going broody.

I'm worrying about Holm now.

So Holm, obviously we want pictures of the hen with the chicks.

Now, about your turkey hen. I think you need to gain her trust. Just like I did with my hens, and Feisty did with Big Bird, and Aurora did with Adam and her hens. You need to spend some one on one time with her. We all did the same thing. Seclude the bird & just spent time with her. If she feels comfortable with you, she may let you handle her with out beating the crap out of you. That or stuff her in a pillow case.
