Yeah what up with those live trap malfunctions? Mine has malfunctioned on possums, raccoons, feral cats, rats....Poor things.

Hey MM...I guess Tomahawk 2 has decided Banshee is HER guy. I wonder if she'll chill out the more comfortable she feels in her new home. Although the more comfortable Daisy has gotten here, the more possessive she gets of me. If I'm holding the other turkey or a chicken she starts tugging on my clothes & hair. My little shadow.

Had a great weekend working in the yard with all the girls. They are so much help.
Although the turkeys do eat acorns! I have millions of them and I hate them!

Ron I have no idea. Is he in a coop?

Ralphie. ..that's a huge bird! Do birds that big fit into an oven? Will you have to freeze him before Thanksgiving? I'm assuming he's invited to Thanksgiving.

Turkules is probably just going through that adolescent stage. I like the picture of him visiting the hens.

Can't wait to see a picture of Adam displaying. He's so big it's hard to realize he's just a 6 month old baby! Your girls are going to love him!

I saw an owl decoy that moves it head. It was on a roof of a hotel. Took me a minute to realize it was fake. Not sure if it was battery or solar operated, but there was not electrical running to it. It did fake me out, probably wouldn't phase a turkey!

Got the leaf blower out this afternoon. Didn't seem to bother the turkeys much. I set it down & had to run into the house....when I came back out they were both standing on it. I also got a small tree staked. Then watched Annie (the Bourbon Red ) play with it for an hour. She is so nosy!!

Aww...what a sweet guy! It was just me & Daisy for several weeks. Now she has a roommate & free ranges with the flock but still wants to take naps on mom's lap. Sounds like Banshee is the same way. Even with his new girl. I'm betting Adam will be the same. I can believe how sweet turkeys can be. They are special.

So Ralph...pack Penguin' s suitcase and put him in a canoe out on the Mississippi & I'll pick him up in Memphis!

MM...sounds like the owl is a success! I had to laugh about your stove. Been there!

Well guess I need to forget about winning the the official Worst Molt contest with a turkey. Both girls are going through some sort of molt. I'm seeing feather scattered about and they are growing new feathers. Especially on their neck, chests, and wings. They still are laying eggs tho. I do have a Barnvelder that looks like she went through a plucker. But I really wanted a good turkey entry. :(

Snowing...wow. it's in the 70's here still. But we have severe weather coming in this evening followed by a cold front. Your post made me go pour another cup! I bet it's beautiful!

Interesting how both my turkeys & chickens are such creatures of habit.

I'm not getting guineas. I was just taken back that thus guy had 65 of them! I can't imagine the racket they can raise! The guinea threads amuse me!

. WOW Adam! He is gorgeous! He's huge for only being 6 months old!! Photo bomb anytime! ! :D. Now that's a hunk 'o lap turkey!

I've wanted Sweetgrass forever! I'm going to have to live vicariously through you guys!

Ralph....a Sweetgrass & Bourbon Red sound like the perfect additions to the calico flock!

Brandychick...My hens display on occasion. I agree with Ralph. It's hard to really tell in your picture but it looked like a hen to me too. Can you get a closer picture!
