Aurora...Romeo loves ya!! Hate that about Dinner.

Stephcraig...my turkeys can be funny about new foods. Usually they will inspect it prior to eating. Debating amongst themselves if its edible. At that point a chicken usually shows up & starts eating. Once they see a chicken eating said scary food they will try it. Like Ralphie says, turkeys arent normal!!

I took Ralphs advise & posted my Sycronized bathing pic in the dust bath contest.

Boy am i looking forward to this weekend! Its supposed to cool off. Plus its a three day weekend. Now that i can use my arm I'm looking forward to playing catch up in the yard!!

My girls are growing new feathers. Daisy fades to a silvery grey during the summer. Always surprises me how much darker her new feathers are. They are a darker blue grey. And her spots are always different. And Annie is a much darker red. So pretty! Of course my Speckled Sussex will have different white dots causing me to look twice to tell them apart.

Rotten kids!: . I had problems getting my girls to bed tonight. Got the chickens in their coop. Usually i hang with the turkeys for a bit. They go to bed later than the chickens. )And they sleep in later.) They usually follow me to their coop. Tonight they stood around staring at me. It turned into ring around the coop. No idea what the heck was going through their beady little brains! It was a coordinated act of civil disobedience on their part!

Aurora...I agree...what up with the Palms? Ralphie, great video! Loved all the turkey chatter!!

R2elk...yet again your skills as a photog amaze me. What gorgeous shots! And what a cacophony of colors between the rooster & sweetgrass!! And that one blue hen raised all those birds! What a girl!

I need a sweetgrass, or a mottled, or a narri....oh heck...maybe one of each!

It was a family squabble and she said settle it yourselves. Unfortunately, I suspect that all 3 of them are toms. I am holding out hope that the smallest is a hen but I have never seen hens get that red at that age. They are just about two months old and the rooster is around 3 months old.

Thanks for the compliments.
Ok...thought the sweetgrass were all the same age. That rooster is beautiful by the way.
Did you enter something for the calendar?

Will you be breeding the sweetgrass to your slates??
