Tried to get a little yard work done yesterday. Had more help than I needed!

More rain this morning. Took the girls for a stroll last night before bedtime. They had to play in every little standing pool of water they could find. Like a couple of little kids. Neighbor is still in rehab (she's 90) so her backyard is a bit overgrown. All sorts of things developing seed heads. You should hear their happy chirps....they are lovingly the variety. I'm developing a new appreciation for overgrown weedy lawns.

Mrs. Robin is sitting tight on her nest of three eggs. Wish I could get close enough for a pic. Mr. Robin is still standing guard.

Bantambird! What cuties! What variety?

Feedman....I can see someone wanting them all! Hard to resist.

Another gloomy day. Rather cold...at least for here....didn't get out of the low 50's with wind. Lapper with built in hand warmers came in handy! We did get a long graze in next door in the field o' seed heads. Visited one of my older neighbors. She gets a kick out of them & insists on giving them one bite each of a piece of whole wheat bread. Why one bite only, and what she does with the rest of the slice is beyond me. I admit I feel like a dork walking down the sidewalk with two turkeys trudging behind. They then spent most of the day loafing around the yard. They were tired turkeys at bedtime.

Feisty....did you float away out there?? Hope all is well....

Stephencraig.....I don't have a tom. Or a rooster. Its pretty zen here in the convent.

MountainBourbons....I have one bourbon hen. Its like living with a two year old! She has to be in the middle of everything. "Curious" is an understatement. She's downright nosy! And has to comment on everything! She is quite a character! She is so funny! Always up to something! I can't imagine having 30 babies or 20 bourbon hens! You must have your hands full!
