Hey Ralphie....the wild hens sounds like she may have lapper potential.....

Took my girls for an early morning stroll. Lots of happy purrs as they foraged through the grasses. They took full advantage of the moths with dew laden wings. They've been laying early evening. So in the mornings they are pretty zen. When I get home from work they are spooling up to lay. I'm liking the morning walks, fewer neighbors out!

Aurora, too cute! When I was a kid I had a big white goose. No idea what kind of goose or the sex. But Tweety was so protective of me my parents got rid of him/her. Tweety would attack anyone who got close to me. Tweety had my little sister cornered one day. She was hysterical. My mother swore she was emotionally scared for life. Tweety had a new home the next day. I remember sitting on the ground & pulling that big pile of soft feathers into my lap & hugging her like a pillow. Poor goose. But she/he was very patient with me. Tweety drew blood when she/attacked. Many a time I remember a parent yelling for me to go grab my goose, who was angrily attacking someone.

Rjohns....you may want to check in with the Middle Tennessee folks for a RP. Several folks raise heritage breeds. @msmeower comes to mind, but there are others.

Rainy weekend ahead. Guess I'll have to occupy myself inside today...blah! Feedman, looks like your getting wet too. Normally I welcome rain...its great for the garden....if only it would rain at night and during the week!
