I call them the gang of 8...all three are 8 years old. They stopped by to visit Daisy after swimming. Daisy was thrilled. Annie & the chickens vacated the area. Daisy just waded into the middle of the girls & got lots of hugs.

I gave a gal a turkey tonight...

It was about 8 weeks old,, She left with it in her lap hugging it...

She told her husband it has to sleep in their room tonight in a cage so it doesn't get scared..

I see a spoiled lapper in their future..The chicks she got where in a box, they are headed to the coop. I guess they don't scare as easy...:lau
Aww...thats great Ralph. A lapper to be. Love it! Wonder how long it will share their bedroom. :lau May even end up being house turkey. But seriously, it's fun when someone realizes how cool turkeys are.
Went out early (5:00) this morning with the intention of taking the girls for an early stroll. It's already so humid I wimped out. Its nasty already.

Hi Flashpoint...what variety of turkeys do you have?
Was on the side of the house pulling weeds. Annie & I walked back around to the front yard. Daisy was totally engaged in grazing. When she noticed we were gone she came trotting around the corner and launched. Flew across the whole yard to catch up. She had an audience. Folks across the street started clapping & yelled "Go Daisy". She sure likes to fly. Annie never flies...

Flashpoint...no apologies. It's hard to keep up with everyone's birds!

I believe Turkey's love to learn new things....I'm convinced! Once Annie figured out how to operate and eat (eating was the issue, she has to eat sideways to fit) from the chickens treadle feeder, she goes & operates it for no reason. Now, since she figured out the back of the bench is a better place to roost than the gate...she hops up & down for fun. I guess. Such goobers!
