R2elk...what a handsome boy! Can't show his picture to the girls! They would book flights to Wyoming!

Speaking of the girls....they are so funny. They showed up on my back porch yelping right at the time I usually show up to take them for a walk. As I came out of the door they ran, well...maybe walked fast, to the gate. All ready for a walk. A good time was had by all.

Thanks Aurora! Annie was not used to human contact. Daisy...she isn't talking. But she was covered in dried mud & poop. I put her in a covered dog run with food, water & installed my lawn chair. We spent quite a bit of time just staring at each other. She finally took BOSS from hand. And slowly started to let me touch her. Guess we just built up trust. My chickens were not happy!

Oh gosh....I forgot she has Princess!! LOL!

Speaking of divas .... one of the dogs dug a shallow hole in the backyard. Daisy turned it into a crater. It finally dried out enough that she could take a proper dust bath. She spent most of the afternoon in it. Just trilling away! She got it so deep all you could see was her neck. I don't think there is anything she enjoys more. Rain moving in, so her crater will turn into a pond for awhile.

Speaking of predators...heard a Great Horned Owl last night. Normally just hear Barred Owls. Love listening to them. We have a ton of raccoons here in the south. We have an albino family of coons in our neighborhood. I've seen one, about five years ago, & so have several other neighbors much more recently.

Now here is a funny fact....the great state of Tennessee's state animal is the racoon. The state dog is the Bluetick Coonhound. Anyone else finding the irony in that??
