R2elk...she could have been egg bound. Although I did sort of feel around & didn't really detect anything. She also developed a habit of laying in my tall grass. Thought maybe she was doing that & the dogs were finding them before me. But really don't know. She was acting completely normal. However there had been a bit of weight loss. Again I put that down to it being summer & they are more active.

No....don't need a house bird. Love my Daisy, but can't do that. Coonhound + house turkey would not mix.
Poor little Daisy is depressed. News has spread throughout the neighborhood about Annie. Neighbors stopped by to console Daisy. I got a quick "So sorry".... Daisy got hugs & pets and treats. Blueberries, strawberries and one of those small personal watermelons. I'm sure it's not just a southern thing that people show up with food after a death in the family. But really? For my turkey? No one brought me chocolate. I ate half of her watermelon!
