Hmmm...I'm still trying to figure out sexes. Looking for any little sign. I just need to be patient. I guess....
Coonhound went out early this morning. Unfortunately he treed some something way in the back. Ran out to get him. Noticed several lights popping on in surrounding houses. Whoops. Poor neighbors. House aren't close. And this time of year they are hermetically sealed. But boy his voice travels. Tried spotting what he had with no success. Got him in the house & he was all jazzed up. He's big & loud, but really like this dog. I'm considering him my mid life crisis.

Trimurtisan! I'm really enjoying this young Walker! Mind you I've been competitive with Australian Shepherds for a looong time. Wanted a challenge. I consider the coonhound my mid-life crisis. What a fun dog he is! Packed full of quirky personality! A huge training challenge, but quite a gentleman. And boy are they deceptively strong! Like you...I love listening to him! I want to get his hunting title so I've been training with one of the local coonhound clubs. The best part is just listening to the baying bouncing off the rolling hills in the distance. I'm such a novice they threaten to put the GPS collar on me! I will say it's not the dog for everyone. But I'm sure enjoying this overgrown baby!!

So anyone else lapper training? Ralphie? I'm making progress with mine! My penciled is at the point that "she" comes over & stares up at me. The mottled is a little more reserved, but let's me pick "him" up. Their juvie feathers are in. The penciled is stunning, the mottled a bit more "unfortunate " but I can see his feathered potential! Daisy has developed the habit of sitting on my chairs arm while I'm holding a poult. She fine with it as long as she gets a bit of attention!

Daisy has one dog in the neighborhood she doesn't mind. 14 year old little white poodle-ish guy that gets walked every evening by his owners. They always stop to chat. This dog hates all other dogs. But the two of them will stand side by side. He'll sniff her & she'll sort of groom his scraggly hair. Daisy has always been leery of dogs. Daisy was sitting in the yard while I was working in the garden. The dog sat next to her while I was chatting with its owners. Just interesting how these two tolerate each other. Animals are full of surprises!
