On our evening stroll last night I ran into the parents of the birthday kid. Dad is going to come pick up Daisy in his golf cart & chauffeur her (us) to the party. He's getting a kick out of "Driving Miss Daisy ". Geez. Mom wants to get a good picture of the kid celebrating with a turkey for their annual Christmas card. They do one of those cards with a family pictures from throughout the year. I'm starting to think the parents are as excited to host Daisy as the kid.

Hey Aurora...don't forget the veils!! LOL!!

Holm would be a good home for JJ Jr.! Hes probably to much of a manly man to like being picked up, but like most turkeys, loves the attention! Turkeys can quickly become "entitled "! Daisy "expects" a lap & snood scratch! My little ones are to the point they come running to the front of the pen when I go outside. It's a good thing!

True....Fred, we haven't seen a good turkey wrassling video in awhile!

Mowed the front yesterday. I thought I was sneaking the mower out, but Daisy must have spied on me. She flew the fences to come & dive bomb me. Stopped the mower, picked her up to cart her back to the pen. Set her on the handle momentarily to tie my tennis shoe. Yard guys driving by stopped & yelled at us if she was looking for a job. They are hiring. Yuck, yuck yuck.

SS are the only birds allowed in my garage. They spend hours foraging for any bug they can get their beaks on.

Saw my poults chasing some little moth. Almost hurt myself laughing. Daisy & I were sitting on the deck. We were both enjoying the show! Daisy is funny....I see her teaching the poults stuff. When I come out she wanders over to hang out, but she keeps a close eye on them. If they are doing something she deems inappropriate or stupid, she will get involved. As she heaves to her feet, I can see her shaking her head & rolling her eyes as she heads out to attend to the babies. Once she gets the situation under control, she'll hop back into my lap.
