Is it necessary to have distilled water to use Tricide Neo? I live in a small town and having trouble finding it right now… could change next week (life of living in a rural town), but would love to start treatment sooner than later.

I think the issue is water has bacteria and organisms in it naturally. Don't use plain tap or well water because its not "pure". Think brain eating amoeba. You can boil water for a minute to kill those (from what Google says). I thought you had to boil it longer, 8 - 10 minutes. There may be minerals in the boiled water. That may interfere with the Tricide Neo. Don't know. Some say bottled water is "purified". You can home distill water.

Turn on your stove's burner to medium heat and let the water boil. Then place the lid upside-down over the pot and fill the top with ice. This will create condensation as the steam from the boiling water hits the ice-cold lid. The condensation will begin to drip into the bowl, leaving you with distilled water.

I guess the bowl is in the pot of water to catch the "condensation". I hope this is helpful. Maybe someone else has better ideas. Good luck.
