Halloween started out as all hallows eve to ward off evil spirits. Now it is just a day for kids to be silly and get candy and for adults to get drunk.

Just come by my house. Adult, kid, costume or not. It's candy for everyone.

Last year I think I had about a dozen adults.

To me Halloween is about the kids. Lillian loves dressing up, and picked out her own costume this year.

I still don't understand this... we tell our kids to not accept candy from strangers then we are supposed to dress them up and send them to strangers doors to demand candy?

I was thinking of leaving the lights off and the dogs to answer the door for me. What night are the little thugs going to be out and about anyhow? Do they do that Monday night (on Halloween) or on a night over the weekend? Bring on the TP, I have a collection of rotten eggs

Here in Australia Halloween is not widely recognized. There is an increasing number of costume parties for adults, but a very small percentage of children of any age dress up and go trick or treating. I get 1- 2 knocks on my door every second year, but there is also not many young children in the area I live. I do buy something to have on hand each year just in case, but I make sure it is what I like since I am usually the one that gets to eat it.
