tried the cabbage dangle yesterday

I thought that the cabbage might have a negative effect, but it doesn't. In fact, the yolks are firmer and darker. It makes an alright substitute for forage.
I started giving my girls meat scraps. Wow, they love them and the eggs are better for it. I know this is about as good for them as it was for me, but leftover fried catfish was a real hit. Oddly, I took it to them with the bread it was served on and they rejected the bread. They ate the part with mayo on it and the rest just sat there.

I need to buy a head of cabbage and try it. They don't much care for lettuce but maybe they'll like the cabbage. Do you think hanging it on a fishing stringer would work?

LOL that's just the only pic I could find. Mine is only about 3 or 4 feet long. Well really it's my husbands, but he'd never miss it cuz he never catches anything. LOL
