Trim a crooked beak?

We purchased this hen when she was younger at a County Fair without realizing her beak was messed up. We have now affectionately dubbed her as Janky Beak but I'm wondering if I should try to trim her beak so she can eat better. She has a really hard time unless the feed is crumbled and really full or unless we are hand feeding her something very soft. I'm just afraid if we trim it too short she will not be able to eat at all. We trimmed it a little several months ago and it almost looks like it has grown back but I was under the impression beets do not grow.

Beaks do grow. Normally chickens keep them wore down during normal foraging. You will need to give your hen routine beak trimmings to help her to be able to eat. I have to trim some of my older chickens a few times a year.
