Mahalo ladies and lads of BYC!
Welcome to my first hatching!

If you are not familiar with my antics, feel free to stop on by and do some catching up at The Quack Shack! If antics are not really your thing... Don't I guess. ;)

Q: What's Trim got going on besides 3rd person labeling?
A: 24 Chicken eggs to hatch.

Q: What incubator is he using?
A: Nurture Right 360.

Q: What breeds will he be attempting to hatch?
A: 5 in total...

  • 6 Blue Isbar
  • 6 Black Australorp
  • 8 Wheaten O Shamo
  • 2 Barnyard Mutts
Q: When did he realize his incubator only held 22 eggs?
A: Right after he added up the eggs listed above!

So, as I was saying, I'll be hatching 22 eggs!

The O Shamo eggs will be here in the morning and will be added then. The rest of the eggs where set about 1 hours prior to writing this. Feel free to grab a chair and watch the paint dry, it should be done in about 21 days!

BLACK AUSTRALORP HATCHING EGGS FOR SALE!!!
Although I left a review there, I'll say it here too...
Howdy folks! I just wanted to let everyone know how my experience went with buying eggs from @john_wrightson2003

For starters they where very helpful and polite, even helping me with some brainstorming. The eggs arrived today, so they where indeed sent out when we agreed on. The packaging was double boxed and packed very securely. All eggs where bubble wrapped, and not a single sign of damage. All sides of the box where also marked "Fragile Live Embryo" with upward facing arrows. The mail man handed the package to me on it's side, but that's obviously a fault of his.

Overall I am very happy with how the transaction went, and would recommend them to anyone interested.

Thank you very much @john_wrightson2003 ! I'll keep you posted on how the hatch goes. I'm super excited! :D

Sorry for the lack of responses folks, I've been a little busy and pretty sick this weekend.

So it is day 4 for the O Shamo, and day 6 for the others.

I've done some candling, but I don't really see much activity to be honest. Some of the shells are a bit difficult to see through. The O Shamo though are pretty easy to see.

This is one of the Black Australorp eggs. The pictures not so great, but there are small veins forming.

So what does it mean when an egg is dark? I don't mean to shell. I have at least three eggs that I can see light coming up through the air sac, but everything between the sack and the light is just a shadow.
