Trim goes all in: A hatching adventure!

It may very well need a little extra help but make sure you wait at least 24 hours from the external pip. I've done way more damage "helping" than I care to admit. If it's a healthy chick that got stuck the extra time in the shell doesn't hurt them. If it's still absorbing yolk you definitely don't want to interfere early.

My concern with this egg in particular is the color of the membrane. Even Itin the first pic it looks like it's yellow/brownish. Not white like I would expect to see. Could indicate many things. Including it'll need an assisted hatching.

Phew, thats a biiig relief for ME, i feel bad enough that you only had 2 that developed, and i would feel even worse if none of em hatched! 1 is better than none, right?

At this point I'm just enjoying watching all the movement! I think the last time I watched this I was in first grade. It's much much more interesting this time around!

It's going to pop out any minute. It's already pushed through the membrane on the top, I can see the breathing, and I did see a glimpse of an eye!

I am happy to share with you all, our new feathered friend! It's stumbling around right now, a bit clumsy but awfully cute. Everything appears to be intact, just stops every three steps and takes a nap.

I've had many eggs hatch perfectly fine with that little bit of discolored membrane.

Thats really neat that you haven't seen it in that long, but then again, 3/4 of the population never in their life get to see that!

My concern with the discoloration is not that they won't hatch. Most will. It's that that color from when it first pips indicates keeping a closer eye on it. Clean white pliable membrane is what I'd expect to see at first pips.

I forget to say your new TS chicks are beautiful. Very cute age. I think you might find your BA ( look suspiciously like Barred Rocks as they grow.
