Trimmed chicks beak to far

It's very short. Poor baby.

Just keep trying to apply the corn starch with pressure. It may take a few attempts, but other than cauterizing, it's the only way.

Can you go buy styptic powder? That will work better.

Yes, I found some around the house and applied it.

I think it may have stopped for good after using the styptic powder but time will tell.

Just keep trying to make it stop bleeding. Hopefully it will eventually stop, and form some sort of scab, or something.

I have a hen who is missing a good part of her upper beak, and thankfully, she's survived.

I’m a noob to chickens. But why would you trim their beaks? I’ve never heard of that. But like I said. I’m a noob.

The only time I have trimmed the beak of a chicken is when I had a girl with scissor beak. Because of the deformity she couldnt file her beak down on her own like other birds. I also trimmed it a little too far. Just kept putting on pressure and cornstarch til it finally stopped. Took quite a while. I dont see a beak deformity on your chick. Why trim her beak?

It has been really long ever since we got her for some reason and I was worried she couldn’t eat, it was stupid of me to cut it though.
